Abstract
This research investigated the development of an English e-storybooks as supplementary materials integrated with Merdeka Belajar curriculum, particularly developed for third-grade students at SD N 1 Baktiseraga. Applying a comprehensive Design and Development (D&D) model, with a particular focus on the Analysis, Design, Development and Evaluation (ADDE) framework, a mixed methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative analysis was applied. The main purpose of this research appeared from the gaps in supplementary materials and the utilization of e-storybooks. The research was conducted systematically, starting with a need analysis, followed by a comprehensive blueprint design, then, e-storybook development, and a meticulously evaluation process that included expert judgment, teacher judgment, also the teacher and student feedback through the interviews. The results of this study showed that the developed e-storybooks are aligned with curriculum objectives and demonstrate excellent attachment to the basic principles of materials development. The significance of the findings showed the potential of e-storybooks that not only enhance the students’ language skills, but also align with the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. This research presented as a valuable resource, providing relevant insights for educators and future researchers in developing effective digital resources aligned to the educational context of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum.
