Abstract
ABSTRACT Putu Widiantara Adiyana (2019). EFL Learning Activities based on the 2013 Curriculum in the Senior High School. Thesis, English Education, Post Graduated Study Program, Ganesha University of Education. This thesis was supervised and approved by supervisor I: Prof. Dewa Komang Tantra, M.Sc., Ph.D. and supervisor II: Dr. Made Ratminingsih, M.A. Key words: EFL, learning activities, the 2013 Curriculum The research objectives were to analyze the EFL teachers’ learning activities in lesson plans, to evaluate their implementations in EFL classrooms, and to analyze the obstacles or deficiencies in both planning and implementation in the Senior High School in Blabahtuh sub-district. The research design implemented was that of an observational study. Two intact classes were selected purposively. Three instruments were administered, and they were validated by experts before their use. The first instrument was a checklist of content analysis of the teachers’ learning activities in lesson plans. The second instrument was an observational checklist adapted from the APKCG. The third instrument was an in-depth interview guide. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively. The result shows, first, the teachers’ already planned the EFL learning activities in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum and the ‘Buku Panduan Pengembangan RPP’. The quality of the teachers’ lesson plans was categorized as good. Second, both teachers implemented the EFL learning activities as they were planned which was categorized as good. Third, both teachers still faced obstacles in stating the learning objectives, paying more attention to the differences of students’ characteristics and managing the time alloted. They were still suggested to study intensively the guidelines in planning and implementing EFL based on the 2013 Curriculum to maximize the EFL lesson plans and their implementations. Tesis ini diawasi dan disetujui oleh pembimbing I: Prof. Dewa Komang Tantra, M.Sc., Ph.D. dan penyelia II: Dr. Made Ratminingsih, M.A. Kata kunci: EFL, kegiatan belajar, Kurikulum 2013 Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis kegiatan belajar guru EFL dalam rencana pelajaran, untuk mengevaluasi implementasi mereka di ruang kelas EFL, dan untuk menganalisis hambatan atau kekurangan dalam perencanaan dan implementasi di Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kecamatan Blabahtuh. Desain penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian observasional. Dua kelas utuh dipilih secara sengaja. Tiga instrumen diberikan, dan mereka divalidasi oleh para ahli sebelum digunakan. Instrumen pertama adalah daftar periksa analisis konten kegiatan pembelajaran guru dalam rencana pelajaran. Instrumen kedua adalah daftar periksa pengamatan yang diadaptasi dari APKCG. Instrumen ketiga adalah panduan wawancara mendalam. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan, pertama, para guru 'sudah merencanakan kegiatan pembelajaran EFL sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 dan' Buku Panduan Pengembangan RPP '. Kualitas rencana pelajaran guru dikategorikan baik. Kedua, kedua guru menerapkan kegiatan pembelajaran EFL sesuai rencana yang dikategorikan baik. Ketiga, kedua guru masih menghadapi hambatan dalam menyatakan tujuan pembelajaran, lebih memperhatikan perbedaan karakteristik siswa dan mengatur waktu yang ditentukan. Mereka masih disarankan untuk mempelajari secara intensif pedoman dalam perencanaan dan implementasi EFL berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013 untuk memaksimalkan rencana pelajaran EFL dan implementasinya.
