Abstract

The research analyzed the moral values of English fairy tales and legends from English Fairy Tales YouTube Channel as well as its relevance to the narrative text material in senior high schools. The approach employed a qualitative study with descriptive design. The sample was five videos of English Fairy Tales channel. Based on the theory, the moral values analysis was conducted through watching the video samples and explaining them. Meanwhile, its relevance towards narrative text was examined by evaluating the appropriate syllabus. The results showed that the videos consist of values, i.e. being grateful to God, caring others, being smart, being fearless, helping everyone, keeping promises, and never surrender. Moreover, the moral values in the videos contain relevance towards narrative text of tenth grade of senior high schools as the values are able to support the application of the videos as a learning media which related to the basic competences in teaching narrative text.
