Abstract

This study proposed to develop English blended supplementary material for slow learners in the 9th-grade junior high school in Buleleng Regency. The activities developed are based on discovery learning, problem-based learning, and project-based learning methods. The design and Development method by Richey and Klein was used as the research method. The research model consists of four stages, they are Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. The subject of this research were teachers and students in the 9th-grade junior high school. In the development stage, the researcher developed the blueprint and product based on textbook analysis result and the syllabus. The data from the analysis stage was gotten from teachers; and students’ interview and document study. The analysis result showed that supplementary material for slow learners is needed for teachers and students. The expert judgements categorized the product as good media, and the user review categorized the book as excellent media. It is hoped that the supplementary material can help both teachers and students to maximize the potential of slow learners in the classroom.
