Abstract
The goal of this research is to delve into Deddy Corbuzier's language style in his YouTube podcast videos. The primary objective is to identify and analyze the various language styles employed by Deddy Corbuzier, while also determining the most frequently used style. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative research approach, aiming to evaluate a social phenomenon and draw insights based on the theory proposed by Joos. To conduct the analysis, the researchers selected three videos from Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel, carefully examining the content and collecting a total of 282 data points. These data points were then categorized according to the different language styles observed in the videos. Upon analyzing the data, the researchers identified three prominent language styles: casual, formal, and intimate. These styles reflect Deddy Corbuzier's manner of communication and the level of familiarity or formality he employs in his videos. However, no instances of frozen or consultative language styles were detected during the study. The findings shed light on Deddy Corbuzier's language choices and provide valuable insights into his communication style within the context of his YouTube podcast videos. This research contributes to a better understanding of language use in online content creation and offers a foundation for future studies in this area.
