Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) akulturasi Budaya Bali dalam tenunan Flores. (2) proses pembuatan tenun Flores. (3) karakteristik tenun Flores di Desa Tanjung Benoa, Badung, Bali. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelian deskritif. Data diperoleh dengan cara observasi dan wawancara kepada sumber informan kunci 1 orang dan sumber informasi pendukung 5 orang. Data ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling, untuk mendapatkan sumber informan utama yaitu sumber informan kunci kemudian akan meluas dan mendapatkan sumber informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) akuklturasi budaya Bali dalam tenunan Flores terlihat pada motifnya yang mengalami inovasi. Pada bagian kainnya terdapat perpaduan antara motif hias endek Bali dan motif hias Flores. (2) proses pembuatan tenun flores menggunakan alat tenun cagcag, pada proses pencelupan memanfaatkan air laut sebagai penguat warna dan penggunaan bahan tawon sebagai pelicin kainnya. (3) karakteristik kain tenun Flores yaitu memiliki tekstur kasar ketika dilihat dan diraba. Kain Flores memiliki warna kain yang cenderung gelap dan terkadang menggunakan warna cerah. Adapun motif hias yang terdapat pada kain tenun Flores yaitu motif hias wajik ukir, motif hias encak saji, motif hias rangrang, motif hias bunga ratna dan motif hias bunga jepun. This study aims to describe (1) the Acculturation of Balinese Culture in Flores Woven (2) The process of making Flores weaving (3) Characteristics of Flores weaving in Tanjung Benoa Village, Badung, Bali. The type of research used is a descriptive research method. Data was obtained by observation and interviews with 1 key information and 5 supporting informations. This data was obtained using technique snowball sampling, to get the main informations source, namely the key informations source, then it will expand and get supporting informations sources. The results of this study indicate that (1) the acculturation of Balinese culture in Flores weaving can be seen in the motifs that experience innovation. On the fabric, there is a blend of Balinese endek decorative motifs and Flores decorative motifs. (2) the process of making Flores weaving uses a cagcag loom, the process utilizing sea water as a color enhancer and using Tawon as a fabric lubricant. (3) the characteristic of flores woven fabric is that it has a rough texture when seen and touched. Flores’s cloth has a color that tends to be dark and sometimes use bright colors. The decorative motifs that innovate are the Balinese carved diamond motif, the encak saji ornamental motif, the rangrang ornamental motif, the ratna flower ornamental motif,and the Jepun flower ornamental motif.
