Abstract

Challenges Faced By Participants In The In-Service Teacher Certification Programme By Ni Putu Meita Subudiasih, 1912021014 English Language Education, Faculty of Language and Art Ganesha University of Education ABSTRACT This study examines the challenges faced by participants in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) in Indonesia, which aims to improve the professional qualifications of teachers. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by PPG participants and how they overcome these challenges. The method used in this study is using a qualitative approach. The participants in this study were ten teachers who had completed the 2020 PPG at the Ganesha University of Education. The instrument in this study was an interview guide by collecting data through online interviews. Data analysis in this study went through 5 stages, namely transcription, reading, highlights, keywords, and categories. This study found that the challenges faced by PPG participants included barriers to technology adoption and a lack of skills in technology. not fully understanding software knowledge, confusion in choosing evaluation tools and difficulties in preparing lesson plans. Challenge solving strategies are carried out by participants by utilizing the YouTube application or self-study. The implication of this study is that with the challenges found by the participants, in the future the participants can anticipate themselves regarding the use of technology in online education programs. Keywords: Teacher Professional Education (PPG), Teacher Professional Education, Online Learning, Challenges, Strategies (ways) TANTANGAN YANG DIHADAPI PESERTA DALAM PROGRAM SERTIFIKASI GURU Oleh Ni Putu Meita Subudiasih, 1912021014 Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha ABSTRAK Studi ini mengkaji tantangan yang dihadapi oleh peserta Program Pendidikan Profesional Guru (PPG) di Indonesia, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualifikasi profesional guru. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi peserta PPG dan bagaimana mereka mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah sepuluh guru yang telah menyelesaikan PPG 2020 di Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Instrument dalam penelitian ini yaitu interview guide dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara online. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini melalui 5 tahapan yaitu mentranskrip, membaca, highlight, kata kunci, dan kategori. Studi ini menemukan bahwa tantangan yang dihadapi peserta PPG meliputi hambatan adopsi teknologi dan kurangnya keterampilan dalam teknologi. belum sepenuhnya memahami pengetahuan perangkat lunak, kebingungan dalam memilih alat soal evaluasi dan kesulitan dalam menyusun RPP. Strategi pemecahan tantangan dilakukan oleh peserta dengan cara memanfaatkan aplikasi youtube atau belajar mandiri. Implikasi dari studi ini yaitu dengan adanya tantangan-tantangan yang ditemukan oleh peserta, kedepannya peserta dapat mengantisipasi diri terkait penggunaan teknologi dalam program pendidikan secara online.
