Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of Cram.com Digital Flashcards at fifth-grade students’ reading comprehension skills. This study was pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of the study consisted of 19 fifth-grade students of an elementary school selected by using purposive sampling. The instruments used were two reading comprehension skill tests: a ‘pre-test’ and a ‘post-test’ respectively. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially by using SPSS Version 26. Based on the data analysis, the mean score of the students’ post-test (80.00 out of 100) was higher than that of their pre-test (40.53 out of 100), and that this mean score difference was significant (sig. 0.000 < 0.005). Thus, it can be concluded that Cram.com Digital Flashcards has significant effect on fifth-grade students’ reading comprehension skill. Based on the research finding, it is suggested that elementary school teachers implement Cram.com Digital Flashcards as the strategy to teach their students EFL reading comprehension.
