Abstract

The current research was conducted to develop flipped task-based reading material infused by Tri Hita Karana values for Evaluative Reading Course. This research was conducted as a Research and Development (R & D) study that employed the ADDIE framework with various research instruments to collect data namely; document review sheets, needs analysis questionnaire, interview guides, observation sheet, expert judges’ validation sheet, and reading tests. The data were collected from supported documents, fourth semester students, lecturers, the head of study program, expert judges, and Tri Hita Karana expert. It was found that the reading material should providing interesting and challenging tasks and also infusing local wisdom. Further, it was figure out that the developed reading material was classified as very good criteria and eligible to be implemented. Lastly, it was found that the flipped task-based reading material infused with Tri Hita Karana values was effective to be implemented in the Evaluative Reading Course to improve students’ reading comprehension skills, promote students’ soft skills, and shape students’ positive characters.
