Abstract
Secara substansi, peneliti mengkaji tradisi seetan yakni, (1) peran struktur sosial dalam melestarikan tradisi seetan. (2) tantangan dalam melestarikan tradisi seetan. (3) aspek-aspek yang terkandung dalam tradisi seetan yang berpotensi sebagai sumber belajar sosiologi di SMA. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskritif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen/analisis content dan purposive sampling dilanjutkan dengan snowball sampling. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini ialah (1) peranan struktur Ulu Apad yang terdiri dari Jero Kubayan Duuran dan Alitan, Jero Kebau Duuran dan Alitan, Bendesa Adat, Tempek Uduhan/Juru Sambang, Kesinoman, Krama beserta seka-seka. (2) tantangan dalam melestarikan tradisi seetan yakni, pencarian dewasa ayu (perhitungan kalender Bali), pengaruh modernisasi, dan sumber daya manusia. (3) memberikan sumber belajar di luar buku teks. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan terkait dengan kekayaan kultural berupa tradisi-tradisi yang masih hidup di masyarakat dan tentu ini menjadi cara yang lebih efektif agar proses pembelajaran tidak berkesan membosankan. Kata Kunci: Tradisi Seetan, Struktur, Pemertahanan, Sumber Belajar Substantially, the researcher examines the seetan tradition which includes, (1) the role of social structures in preserving the seetan tradition. (2) The challenges in preserving the seetan tradition. (3) The aspects contained in the seetan tradition that can be used as a potential source of learning sociology in senior high school. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive approach where the data collection methods were in the form of observation, interviews, and document study or content analysis and purposive sampling followed by snowball sampling . The results of this study are (1) the role of structure Ulu Apad which is consist of Jero Kubayan Duuran and Alitan, Jero Kebau Duuran and Alitan, Bendesa Adat, Tempek Uduhan or Juru Sambang, Kesinoman, Krama and seka-seka. (2) The challenges in preserving the seetan tradition, namely, the search for Dewasa Ayu (Determination of auspicious days according to the Balinese calendar), the influence of modernization, and human resources. (3) Provide learning resources outside of the textbooks. It aims to give insight related to cultural richness in the form of traditions that are still alive in society. Therefore, this tradition can be used as a more effective learning resource in the process of learning Sociology so that it does not seem boring.
