Abstract

This study aims to develop an inductive thinking learning model assisted by augmented reality (MP-BIBAR) in the Indonesian Language Subject for grade III to improve listening and critical reasoning skills of elementary school. This study uses the Borg and Gall development model with testing on the aspects of validity, usefulness, and effectiveness. The validity test was carried out using the learning object review instrument (LORI), which was assessed by two Indonesian language learning experts, two elementary school learning psychology experts, two learning media experts, and two learning technology experts. The usefulness test was carried out using the user experience questionnaire (UEQ) which was assessed by ten teachers and twenty students. The effectiveness test used a quasi-experimental design on students in the Melinggih Kelod Cluster, Gianyar Regency. Validity test data were analyzed using a table of eligibility criteria, usefulness test data were analyzed using the average of each aspect in the UEQ with the UEQ criteria table, and effectiveness data were analyzed using MANOVA (Multivarite Analysis of Varian). The results of the study show that: (1) MP-BIBAR contains elements of a learning model, namely syntax, reaction principles, social systems, support systems, instructional impacts, and accompanying impacts; (2) MP-BIBAR is valid for implementation in elementary schools; (3) MP-BIBAR is useful for implementation in elementary schools; (4) MP-BIBAR is effective for improving listening and critical reasoning skills simultaneously and separately in the Indonesian Language Subject for grade III students in Gianyar Regency.
