Abstract
This study aims to determine the legal implications of the absence of employment contracts on occupational safety and health (OSH) protection for informal sector workers in Buleleng Regency, particularly in the service sector in Buleleng District. This study is an empirical legal study with a socio-legal approach. The sample in this study was determined using purposive sampling, with data sources derived from primary data (observation, interviews, and questionnaires) and secondary data (literature study). The results of this study indicate that informal workers and employers in the informal sector often engage in employment relationships without a written employment contract. Based on observations, it was also found that workers in the informal sector in Buleleng Regency work in jobs with high risks and are also prone to injury. Although verbal agreements are legally enforceable under Law No. 13 of 2003, the absence of employment contracts weakens the position of workers in obtaining legal protection, especially for informal workers who work in high-risk occupations. Keywords: Employment Contract, Informal Workers, Occupational Safety And Health, Labor Law, Civil Justice.
