Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how multicultural values and peacebuilding can promote peace values and attitudes in inclusive education settings, specifically in the context of English language as medium of instruction. In addition, this study also provides a framework of inclusive multicultural and world peace education that can be integrated to promote social cohesion and prevent discrimination in inclusive school settings. A mixed method design was employed in this study, which conducted a Taxonomy Analysis technique to analyze qualitative data and descriptive statistics techniques for quantitative results. The study was conducted in Sekolah Dyatmika which employs English language teaching as the medium of instruction and supports multicultural values integration in diverse cultural contexts within the school. The instrument of data collection was formed in an interview guide, observation sheet, and questionnaire. The research findings were displayed in the form of descriptive narratives and provide tables and charts forms to present results of the study in detail. Therefore, the finding revealed that the integration of multicultural values through inclusive teaching practices, school policies, curriculum, and multicultural school programs effectively promoted peace values, positive social cohesion, and minimized discrimination within the school environment. Furthermore, this study also identifies an inclusive multicultural and world peace education framework that emphasizes inclusivity, equality, character education, collaborative learning, reflective teaching, and cultural diversity appreciation to support the development of a more supportive, respectful, and harmonious learning environment.
