Abstract
This study aimed to develop an English for Food and Beverage Service module integrated with AI-generated audio and to evaluate its quality and students’ perceptions on its use. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) design, utilizing the ADDIE model, which consists of five phases: Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The needs analysis involved students, instructors, industry practitioners, and document analysis of the curriculum, syllabus, and existing module. The findings revealed that students required contextualized English materials focusing on authentic workplace communication, primarily listening and speaking skills. The existing module was found to have several limitations, including the absence of listening audio, limited industryrelated vocabulary, insufficient authentic communication practice, and lack of integrated language-skill activities. Based on the identified needs, a twelve-unitEnglish for Food and Beverage Service module integrated with AI-generatedlistening audio accessible through QR codes was developed. The module underwent expert validation involving a design material expert, a technology media expert, and two instructors. The validation results indicated that the module possessed excellent quality in terms of content relevance, instructional design, language accuracy, usability, and technological integration. The implementation involved 25 students from the Food and Beverage Service program at Jolly Roger International.The evaluation results showed that students perceived the module very positively, with an overall mean score of 4.67. Students particularly appreciated the relevance of the content, the authenticity of the listening materials, the exposure to diverse English accents, and the accessibility of the QR-code-based audio. The study concluded that the developed module was valid, practical, and effective in supporting English language learning and workplace communication readiness in the food and beverage service industry.
