Abstract
This research aimed to describe and elaborate teaching strategies that are used by English teachers in teaching productive skills at SMP 4 Singaraja. This research chose descriptive qualitative as its research design. The data of this study was collected by performing interview to the teachers due to regulation and limited time. The data was analysed by using data reduction to filter how much data were necessary and related to the topic, data display to show the filtered data, and conclusion drawing as summary of this analysis. According to the result of analysed data, it was found that from 20 strategies provided, teacher-1 used 18 strategies, teacher-2 used 17 strategies, teacher-3 used 18 strategies, and teacher-4 used 18 strategies. 8 strategies for speaking skill became the most used strategies by teachers and 8 strategies for writing skills also became the most used strategies by teachers.
