Abstract

The study aims to develop supplementary material for learning relative clauses using Wordwall for 12th-grade students. This research used Design and Development (DnD) method which contains three steps; design, development, and evaluation. The researcher conducted pre-observation at twelfth-grade SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja to seek further information. This study used six research instruments: researcher’s note, blueprint product, instrument validation sheet, content expert judgment sheet, media expert judgment sheet, and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). The data was collected by analyzing the syllabus of the Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris course which focused on the relative clause topic, and the existing problem of learning relative clauses at SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. This study applied mix-method data analysis which used qualitative and quantitative data analysis for answering research questions. The processes and procedures of developing supplementary material Wordwall-based for learning relative clauses were used for answering the procedures needed in developing the product. The expert judgment sheets and UEQ were employed to answer the quality of developed supplementary material. The results were 93,4% for content, and 95% for media both scores were given by two experts. Meanwhile, the results of the user experiences were Attractiveness 2.1 (Excellent), Perspicuity 1.68 (Above average), Efficiency 1.88 (Excellent), Dependability 2.25 (Excellent), Stimulation 1.55 (Good), and Novelty 2.13 (Excellent). These results indicated that the developed supplementary material brings fun, attractive, interactive, secure, and fresh experiences for students. The developed supplementary material fit with supplementary material requirements which is very good to be implemented for the learning and teaching process.
