Abstract
Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk faktor genetik dan lingkungan yang signifikan dalam perkembangannya. Risiko diabetes melitus tipe 2 (DMT2) meningkat seiring pertambahan usia, dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia dan hormonal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara tingkat stres dan kualitas hidup pada pasien usia lanjut yang menderita DMT2. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional, dengan subjek penelitian berupa pasien lansia penderita DMT2 yang mendapatkan perawatan di Poli Interna dan Geriatri Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Buleleng.”Terdapat 97 subjek yang memenuhi kriteria, terbagi menjadi 51 laki-laki dan 46”perempuan.”Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat stres yang diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale 42 (DASS-42)”.Sementara itu,”variabel dependen adalah kualitas hidup yang diukur melalui The World Health Organization Quality Of Life”(WHOQOL-BREF).”Kedua variabel tersebut diuji menggunakan uji”Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara tingkat stres dan kualitas hidup (p<0,01) dengan korelasi negatif yang kuat (r = -0,631).”
