Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh MEA berbantuan LKS kontekstual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian merupakan eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan rancangan post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 137 orang siswa kelas X SMK Kharisma Mengwi tahun pelajaran 2019/2020, yang tersebar ke dalam lima kelas dengan kemampuan matematika yang setara. Sampel sebanyak 2 kelas ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dikumpulkan dengan tes berbentuk uraian. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji MANOVA. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran MEA berbantuan LKS kontekstual berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika (F = 90,018; p<0,05). Kata-kata kunci: MEA berbantuan LKS kontekstual, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the effect of MEA aided by contextual student worksheet on the ability to think critically and creatively in solving student’s mathematical problems. The study was a quasi-experimental study using a post-test only control group design. The population was 137 students of class X SMK Kharisma Mengwi in the academic year of 2019/2020, which was distributed into five classes with equivalent mathematical abilities. Sampel of 2 classes by random sampling technique. Data on critical and creative thinking skills in mathematical problem solving were collected with an essay test. The data obtained were analyzed using MANOVA test. The results show that MEA aided by contextual student worksheet has a positive effect on the ability to think critically and creatively in solving mathematical problems (F = 90.018; p < 0.05). Key words: MEA aided by contextual worksheet, critical thinking and creative ability in solving mathematical problems.
