Abstract

This research aims to describe the teacher’s perception of Self-directed learning, describe the activities assigned by the teacher in online learning, and identify SDL components that appear in the activities assigned by the teacher in online learning. Qualitative and quantitative method is used in this study. The teacher claims herself knowledgeable, often in implementing SDL, and believes SDL positively impacts the students. The teacher faces difficulties in implementing pre-activity and post-activity in online learning. Moreover, there are two SDL components identified in the learning activities assigned by the teacher. There is an indication the teacher cannot implement SDL in online learning.
