Abstract
This study investigated the processes and difficulties encountered by an English teacher in preparing English lesson plans for online learning during the pandemic situation. It was a descriptive qualitative study, taking an English teacher at SMA Swasta Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja as the subject. The research objects studied first, teachers’ process in preparing a lesson plan for English learning through Google Classroom, and second, teachers’ difficulties in preparing a lesson plan for English learning through Google Classroom in SMA Swasta Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. The data were collected through a questionnaire that was made regarding the Regulation of the Ministry of Education and Culture number 14 of 2019 about Lesson Plan simplification, including learning objective, materials, activities, media and source, and assessment. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The result showed that the teacher fulfilled all the steps in five aspects of the one - page lesson plans. Meanwhile, in preparing the lesson plan for English learning through Google Classroom, the problem found is the learning objective containing the audience (A). The study's finding indicates that improvement is required in the instructional and implementation through an online learning platform.
