Abstract

This study aimed to develop differentiated teaching materials based on the independent curriculum for grade five semester one. This research used the Research and Development research model by Richey and Klein (2014) by going through four stages, namely: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Data collection was carried out with the help of observation sheet instruments, interview guidelines, and document analysis. The data collected was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. This study found that teachers and students need additional differentiated learning materials to support English learning. The product was developed through Canva into four books based on each learning style: visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic. Two experts and two English teachers assessed the quality of the product with a score of ‘very good’.
