Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with technology and to examine students' readiness in engaging with this learning model at SMAN 1 Singaraja. An exploratory sequential mixed-methods approach was applied, beginning with qualitative data collection through classroom observation, followed by quantitative data collection via questionnaires. The findings from classroom observations revealed that the English teacher had integrated technology, such as PowerPoint and videos, into the PBL process, though several challenges remained in maximizing student engagement and optimizing the use of digital tools. The quantitative results indicated that students’ readiness was categorized as moderate, particularly in the dimensions of effort, willingness, and capacity to participate in technology-supported PBL activities. Overall, while technology integration in PBL has been initiated, further support and strategies are needed to enhance student readiness, especially in adapting to the active and collaborative learning approach promoted by the Kurikulum Merdeka. Keywords: Problem-Based Learning, technology integration, student readiness, Kurikulum Merdeka.
