Abstract
This study aims to find out how teachers implement differentiated instruction integrated with technology in the classroom and to measure students' beliefs when differentiated instruction integrated with technology is implemented in the classroom. With the introduction of the Merdeka Curriculum, this approach to teaching has been adopted in schools. Differentiated instruction is a student-centered method that emphasizes content, process, and product in learning activities. A mixed methods was used to collect data for this study. The participants were eleventh-grade students from SMK 3 Denpasar, selected through multistage random sampling. Four classes namely XI Hospitality M1, XI Hospitality M2, XI Culinary W1, and XI Culinary B1 were chosen as the study samples. This study used observation sheets to obtain qualitative data on how teachers implement differentiated instruction integrated with technology in the classroom. Meanwhile, questionnaires were used to obtain quantitative data on students’ beliefs when this differentiated instruction was implemented in the classroom. The collected data were analyzed using an interactive approach method and then presented narratively. Based on the findings of this study, students’ beliefs were in the high range. This shows that differentiated instruction integrated with technology is successful and can influence students’ beliefs in learning. Participants also believed that individualized teaching methods provided greater convenience and flexibility, allowing learning to be tailored to students' interests, needs, and abilities.
