Abstract

The nervous system and motion system in humans are abstract biological concepts that are often difficult for students to understand through conventional learning methods. The lack of interactive learning media contributes to low student engagement and limited conceptual understanding. This study aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media on the topics of the human nervous system and motion system for Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Amlapura, and to determine the feasibility and practicality of the developed media. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Plomp development model, which consists of three phases: preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. The instruments used included expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and teacher response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the AR-based learning media was categorized as highly valid, with a content expert validation score of 0.9 and a media expert validation score of 1.0, both falling into the very high validity category. Product testing demonstrated very positive results, with individual test scores of 98%, small-group test scores of 94%, and field test scores of 96%. In addition, the student response score was 94.66% and the teacher response score was 94.58%, both categorized as very positive. Based on these results, the AR-based learning media developed in this study is declared valid, practical, and feasible to be used as an innovative digital learning resource to enhance conceptual understanding and student engagement in biology learning.
