Abstract

This study focuses on the innovative exploration and optimization strategies of digital teaching models in the field of higher education, aiming to deeply explore the application value, implementation strategies, and profound impact of digital teaching in higher education, and provide new ideas and paths for the development of this field. The research subjects are 202 nursing students from Haiyuan College, Kunming Medical University. Through questionnaire surveys and data analysis, the potential of digital teaching in improving learning efficiency and student engagement has been revealed, while also pointing out the challenges it faces, such as insufficient resource matching, inconsistent interactive effects, and limited space for deep learning. This study adopts a mixed method design, combining experimental research with qualitative descriptive research. Evaluation data of students and teachers are collected through the Wenjuanxing platform, and t-test analysis is used to compare the grades of students using digital teaching and those using traditional teaching. Analysis shows that digital teaching can improve student performance. Students who adopt digital teaching tend to choose a moderate duration of 3-5 hours in their study time allocation, which may help improve learning efficiency. Based on the research results, suggestions have been put forward to establish a balanced learning time system, enhance teachers' digital skills, optimize resource allocation and interaction, aiming to integrate the advantages of digital teaching and traditional teaching, promote students' comprehensive development, and provide support for the digital transformation of higher education. The study emphasizes that digital teaching has significant advantages in enhancing educational coverage and classroom interaction, but key issues such as resource allocation, technological adaptability, and instructional design also need to be addressed to ensure that digital teaching can truly improve teaching quality and learning outcomes.
