Abstract
This study was proposed to investigate students’ perception on English teacher’s competences in SMA Negeri 1 Singaraja. The competences were pedagogy, personality, social and professional competence. This study used mixed method whose type was convergent parallel mixed method. The data of this study were collected quantitatively and qualitatively by using online questionnaire and interview guide. The online questionnaire was administered to the twelfth grade students in academic year 2019/2020. There were 236 students who responded to the questionnaire. The interviews were done toward five students. The result of this study showed that the students had 1) positive perception on English teacher’s pedagogy competence, 2) very positive perception on English teacher’s personality competence, 3) positive perception on English teacher’s social competence, and 4) very positive perception on English teacher’s professional competence.
