Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create digital storybooks based on the TBLT method to facilitate English literacy activities for 12th-grade students at SMA N 1 Sawan. According to Richey and Klein (2014), the methodology for this study is based on the Design and Development research model, which consists of four stages: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Researchers collected data using instruments like observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. This TBLT-based digital storybook has been assessed for its quality by two experts and obtained very good grades and is also said to be valid for use as learning media for students in conducting English literacy activities for grade 12. Researchers have conducted trials with five grade 12 students and also an English teacher at SMA N 1 Sawan with the aim of obtaining a formative assessment. From this study, the results obtained were that this TBLT-based digital storybook could assist teachers in increasing students' interest in learning by using innovative learning media. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers with grade 12 students after the product trials were carried out, students stated that they were very interested in learning to use this TBLT-based digital storybook.
