Abstract
This research aims to examine the influence of the variables learning independence, information and communication technology literacy, and self-confidence on the ability to write a thesi. The urgency lies in the students' ability to achieve academic success. The research method used is a quantitative methodology with an ex-post facto approach.. There are 253 Dharma Acarya faculty graduates who make up the population. To obtain a representative sample, the Slovin formula was used and produced a sample of 162 graduates who were selected randomly. Research data was obtained from the results of filling out questionnaires for the variables of learning independence, ICT literacy, and self-confidence. On the other hand, data on the ability to compose a thesis was obtained from the recapitulation of thesis grades in the academic section of the Dharma Acarya faculty. The data was analyzed using SEM with the help of the LISREL 8.8 application. The results of this research show that: 1) the theoretical model of the ability to compose a thesis is supported by empirical data, 2) learning independence has a positive effect on self-confidence, 3) information and communication technology literacy has a positive effect on self-confidence, 4) learning independence has a direct effect on the ability to compose thesis, 5) information and communication technology literacy has a positive effect on the ability to compose a thesis, 6) self-confidence has a positive and significant effect on the ability to compose a thesis, 7) learning independence can influence the ability to compose a thesis through self-confidence, 8) information and communication technology literacy can influence the ability to compose a thesis through self-confidence. Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that learning independence, information and communication technology literacy, and students' self-confidence influence students' ability to write their theses.
