Abstract
The low cognitive learning outcomes of students in mathematics in fifth grade elementary school has become a problem that requires attention. One of the causes is the continued use of conventional learning models, accompanied by a lack of interesting teaching media, which results in low student participation and understanding of the subject matter. This study aims to examine the effect of Design Thinking model assisted by interactive video on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, specifically a nonequivalent post-test only control group design. The research sample consisted of 50 students. Data were collected through multiple-choice objective tests and analyzed using Welch's t-test. The results of the analysis showed that tcount was greater than the t-table value, meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the Design Thinking model assisted by interactive videos on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The results of this study show the importance of using innovative learning models supported by interactive media in mathematics teaching, as they have been proven to increase student engagement, improve the quality of the learning process, and improve cognitive learning outcomes more effectively
