Abstract

This study aims to identify the use of language functions and language expressions used in the field work practice at The St.Regis Bali Resort. The author identifies the use of language functions and expressions in each order-taking process by the bartender, and summarizes the sentences for each available sub-topic. The author uses descriptive qualitative research in this study. The data collection process is carried out by taking orders directly and determining the completeness of the parts of the Taking order. The results of this study found 7 stages in taking orders by bartenders and 5 obstacles encountered during the research and classified with appropriate language functions and expressions.
