Abstract
ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR IPA SISWA PADA MATERI USAHA DAN PESAWAT SEDERHANA DALAM KEHIDUPAN SEHARI-HARI DI SMP NEGERI 4 SINGARAJA Oleh I Gusti Ayu Agung Intan Widyanti Putri, NIM 191371022 Jurusan Fisika dan Pengajaran IPA ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan kesulitan belajar IPA dan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar IPA siswa pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 1 orang guru IPA kelas VIII dan 62 orang siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja. Objek penelitian ini adalah kesulitan belajar siswa dan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan statistik deskriptif untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar siswa, sedangkan analisis data faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar dilakukan dengan deskriptif kualitatif, serta melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) sebanyak 32 siswa dengan presentase 51,61% terindikasi mengalami kesulitan belajar dengan kategori tinggi. Materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana dibagi beberapa indikator, indikator yang masuk kategori sulit adalah indikator menghitung jumlah katrol yang digunakan mengangkat beban pada katrol majemuk (68,95%) dan indikator menghitung keuntungan mekanis pesawat sederhana (63,71%), dengan bentuk kesulitan antara lain pemahaman konsep, penerapan rumus, literasi, penulisan simbol, dan kemampuan matematis; (2) faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar yang paling tinggi adalah dari faktor internal yaitu aspek intelegensi dengan rata-rata skor (3,15) dan minat dengan rata-rata skor (3,04), sedangkan dari faktor eksternal yaitu aspek lingkungan sekolah dengan rata-rata skor (5,33). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja mengalami kesulitan belajar IPA khususnya pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang disebabkan oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' DIFFICULTY LEARNING SCIENCE ON SIMPLE BUSINESS AND AIRCRAFT MATERIALS IN DAILY LIFE AT SMP NEGERI 4 SINGARAJA by I Gusti Ayu Agung Intan Widyanti Putri, NIM 191371022 Physics and Science Education Department ABSTRACT This research aims to describe and explain the difficulties in learning science and the factors that cause students' difficulties in learning science in simple business and aircraft material in everyday life at SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this research were 1 class VIII science teacher and 62 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja. The object of this research is students' learning difficulties and the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in simple business and aircraft materials in everyday life. The data collection methods used in this research were tests, questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis method in this research is descriptive statistics to analyze students' learning difficulties, while data analysis of factors causing learning difficulties is carried out using descriptive qualitative methods, as well as through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this study show that (1) As many as 32 students with a percentage of 51.61% were indicated to have learning difficulties in the high category Business material and simple aircraft are divided into several indicators, indicators that are in the difficult category are indicators for calculating the number of pulleys used to lift loads on compound pulleys (68.95%) and indicators for calculating the mechanical advantage of simple aircraft (63.71%), with the form of difficulty between others are understanding concepts, applying formulas, literacy, writing symbols, and mathematical abilities; (2) the factors that cause the highest learning difficulties are internal factors, namely the intelligence aspect with an average score of (3.15) and interest with an average score of (3.04), while from external factors, namely the environmental aspect. school with an average score of (5.33). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that students at SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja have difficulty learning science, especially in simple business and aircraft material in daily life, which is caused by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors.
