Abstract

Current studies had developed Intensive English Course (IEC) learning material using Android operating system. However, the Gen Z are not only using Android-based device, but also iOS. This study aims to develop a task-based e-module by using research and development design with the ADDIE model. The e-module is named as ARAH e-module. It accommodates Android and IOS-based devices. There were 21 students in the experimental group and 25 in the control group. Needs analysis, document study, survey, interview, and quasi-experiment were employed to get data. The post-tests results were analyzed using ANOVA and MANOVA. Then, User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) was used to get the data on the product quality. The findings revealed that developed product meets the students’ needs and had significant and simultaneous effect on Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) and English skills. The students showed positive perception on the product’s quality. It implies that task and technology positively affect learning.
