Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh pemandu wisata di air terjun Sekumpul. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang senior tour guide di air terjun Sekumpul. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemandu wisata di air terjun Sekumpul menggunakan sembilan jenis strategi komunikasi, yaitu; approximation, circumlocution, phonological avoidance, use of all-perpose, appeal for help, stalling or time - gaining, nonlinguistic signals, topic avoidance, dan message abandonment. Dari sembilan jenis strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh pemandu wisata di air terjun Sekumpul, approximation dan circumlocution adalah yang paling sering digunakan oleh pemandu wisata.
